A simple fruit pie with a homemade pastry crust. This is a delightful mixture of fresh cranberries and raspberries, lightly sweetened with a touch of sugar, a bit of cornstarch to thicken the juices and a lovely lattice top.
It goes well with a variety of ice creams. We tried vanilla, walnut and pecan praline ice cream and each one was pleasing. We didn’t like the pie with whipped cream. It just didn’t work. If you like nuts you can add hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans to enhance the pie.
